It Starts with Us ~ Annual Team Conference

At Social Care Solutions, our recent annual staff conference was a truly special occasion. As a unique, hybrid, and geographically dispersed team, the chance to come together is something we deeply value and cherish. With team members joining us from New Zealand, Cambodia, and across Australia, including cities like Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, we hosted a dynamic two-day event. Day 1 was held online, enabling us to reach more of our team, while Day 2 brought us together in person, offering a valuable opportunity to collaborate, deepen relationships, and reinvigorate our shared sense of purpose and team spirit.

Our conference theme, It Starts with Us, underscores our belief that good practice begins within our own team. In child protection and social work, continuous learning is essential - when you believe there’s nothing left to learn, it’s time to reassess. At Social Care Solutions, we recognise that no matter how long you’ve been in the field, there’s always more to gain.

By gathering as a collective, we share stories, laugh, and learn together. Our practice wisdom grows through these shared experiences, enabling us to improve the work we do every day. Events like this reinforce our commitment to professional growth and, ultimately, to delivering better outcomes for the children, young people, and families we support.
